His research interests focus on improving the availability and resiliency of digital services by minimizing the impact of outages, especially those related to cybersecurity. Dr. El-Shekeil's current research focuses on reducing the scope of outages resulting from cyberattacks and studying multi-party configuration diagnosis to detect conflicts in configurations across multiple systems.
